An energetic young team carrying on a proud tradition
A factory team supported by Shimano, the world-famous bicycle components manufacturer based in Sakai, Osaka.
Founded in 1973, it has a long history and has produced countless riders who went on to represent Japan.
With 30-year-old Shoma Kazama as its oldest rider, the team also has a strong development-team character centered on young riders.
Shoma Hayashibara, who raced Mynavi Tour de Kyushu for the team as a trainee last year, officially joined this season. A promising climber, he has finished ninth overall at the Tour of Thailand this season.
Takumi Yamada, strong in survival races; Takeharu Amano, an attacker; and Hiryu Kayama, a rouleur, should make their presence felt at every stage of the race.
Twenty-one-year-old Isshin Yamasato joined the team this season and became the Japanese U23 individual time trial champion this year.
