A UCI Continental Team based in Wakayama Prefecture and sponsored by KINAN, a company that has long supported cycling.
Its biggest goal is the home race Tour de Kumano, but the team also performs strongly throughout the year in UCI-sanctioned races in Japan and overseas.
In stage races, the ace is all-rounder Rein Taaramäe, a former WorldTeam rider who once wore the leader’s jersey at the Vuelta a España.
Experienced riders such as Yuma Koishi, Genki Yamamoto, and Yudai Arashiro support the ace while pursuing their own opportunities.
In sprints, new signing Lucas Carstensen, a stage winner at both the Tour of Taiwan and Tour of Japan this season, will be a threat, while former Japanese national champion Keigo Kusaba could capitalize on a chaotic race.
Young all-rounder Jo Hashikawa, who developed his skills in Europe, will also be expected to contend for the overall standings.
