SHIMANO RACING シマノレーシング
(CT / Japan)
Founded in 1973, this prestigious team has been supported by the bike components manufacturer Shimano and has produced many All Japan champions and Olympic athletes over the years. In recent years, the team has focused on developing young talent, and the results are showing for the 2024 season.
Yoshiki Terada, who finished second on a stage at this year's Tour of Japan and won the points classification with an aggressive performance throughout the race, was crowned the U23 All Japan Champion this summer. Tadaaki Nakai, now in his sixth season with the team, claimed the King of the Mountains jersey at the TOJ and had a strong summer with consecutive wins at the Sakishima Road Race and Shimano Suzuka Road Race Classic. The team also boasts riders like Shoma Kazama, Daichi Tomio, and Yuki Ishihara, who can break away from the peloton on various terrains, with former All Japan champion Shotaro Iribe, who has previously raced with WorldTeams, leading and uniting the squad.
