UCI ProTeam (Breakthrough Season – Tom Pidcock’s Team)
Although a UCI ProTeam (second division), they are having a breakthrough season.
Their leader is Tom Pidcock, Olympic MTB XCO gold medalist at both the Tokyo and Paris Olympics.
He immediately delivered by winning the overall title at the AlUla Tour at the start of the year, and the team earned long-awaited entry into a Grand Tour, the Giro d’Italia.
Pidcock is supported by teammates such as: Fabio Christen (Switzerland), a promising young rider; Matteo Moschetti (Italy), a strong sprinter; David de la Cruz (Spain), a veteran climber.
If they participate, they will be among the top contenders for overall victory in Kyushu.
Later in the season, Rory Townsend has shown spectacular form: winning the Irish national championship in June, then taking a stunning solo victory at the WorldTour one-day race ADAC Cyclassics in August — a huge milestone for the team.
