The Defending Champions Eye Back-to-Back Victories
Defending Champion French ProTeam
The defending champion team from last year returns.
Emilien Jeannière, who won two stages plus the overall title at the 2023 Tour de Kyushu, made his Tour de France debut this year but was forced to abandon after a crash.
He bounced back with podium finishes at the Copenhagen Sprint (3rd) and GP Plouay (2nd).
As the reigning champion, he is once again a top favorite.
Also returning is Jordan Jegat, who raced last year.
He finished 10th overall at this year’s Tour de France, emerging as a new French star.
His climbing will be a major highlight in Kyushu.
Other key riders include: Matteo Vercher – aggressive breakaway specialist; Anthony Turgis – Tour de France stage winner; Mathieu Burgaudeau – well known for animating big races.
Even if Jeannière is replaced by sprinter Jason Tesson, the team still has the strength to aim for the overall title.
