A Lineup of Sprinters Well-Suited to Kyushu’s Roads
A UCI Continental team based in Aichi Prefecture.
Last year, Keigo Kusaba notably finished as the highest-ranked Japanese rider in every stage of the race.
Alongside Hayato Okamoto, who finished 5th at the Kokura Castle Criterium, Aisan Kogyo led the Japanese riders throughout the entire race.
This season, Rui Udagawa, who joined the team, claimed victory at the Tour of Japan Mino Stage.
Another new addition, Jo Hashikawa, grew up in Belgium and won the individual time trial and placed second in the road race at the U23 Japanese National Championships.
He is one of the top domestic young riders with excellent all-around ability.
Also, attention will be on Jo Matsui, who won the Jingu Gaien University Criterium this year, and we look forward to his performance in Sasebo.
The team has a lineup rich in sprinters, but Kazushige Kuboki, who became the 2024 world champion in the track scratch race, stands out.
If the team functions well, victories in sprint stages—where they were held back by foreign competitors last year—should be within reach.
