VC FUKUOKA VC FUKUOKA
(CT / Japan)
A professional team founded in Fukuoka in 2010, this team has contributed to the development of the cycling scene in the Kyushu region through various initiatives, including running a development team, a club team, and a parasports team. Their motivation for this race, which concludes with the final stage in their hometown of Fukuoka, is sure to be high.
Leading the team is Benjamin Prades (Spain), who joined the team last season. The 40-year-old veteran finished 4th overall in last year's Mynavi Tour de Kyushu 2023 and continues to perform well this season, with three UCI race victories in Turkey, Japan, and Uzbekistan. Supporting Prades are experienced riders like Kohei Yokotsuka, who placed 3rd in the 2019 Japanese National Championships, and veteran Naoki Mukaigawa, who brings a wealth of race experience. With nearly half the team consisting of riders in their early 20s, such as Keito Ikeda, Gen Abe, Kazuya Tsujino, and Kazuto Minami, the team is not only focused on success in the Kyushu region but also on nurturing the bright talents of the future.
