Press Conference on UCI Accreditation of Tour de Kyushu 2023

To commemorate the decision to hold the Tour de Kyushu 2023 as a UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) accredited international cycle road race, a press conference was held by the governors of Kyushu and Yamaguchi prefectures and economic organizations on Thursday, October 27th at the Kyushu Regional Strategy Conference held in Amami Oshima. The press conference was attended by the governors of Kyushu and Yamaguchi prefectures as well as members of the economic organizations in these areas.

Mr. Makoto Iijima, a three-time Olympian (Sydney, Athens, and Beijing) from Bridgestone Cycle Co. and Mr. Shunsuke Imamura, a local athlete from Fukuoka Prefecture, also attended the event and spoke of their expectations for the event.
