Make Kyushu Sustainable
~九州の持続可能な未来のために~GOALS OF THE TOUR DE KYUSHU
The "Tour de Kyushu," set to take place in October 2024, is one of Japan's premier cycle road races, unfolding across various prefectures in Kyushu.
This event aims to be more than just a sports competition. It will showcase Kyushu's unique natural beauty and cultural heritage to a domestic and international audience, symbolizing recovery from past disasters and envisioning a sustainable future.
The goal is to transcend traditional cycling events by incorporating activities aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promoting a sustainable future for Kyushu. These include operations with less environmental impact, consideration for the natural environment, and the use and protection of Kyushu's abundant water resources.
As part of these efforts, the Tour de Kyushu has endorsed the UCI Climate Action Charter, joining 80 founding members worldwide in committing to climate action initiatives.
