Elementary School Visitation and Educational Program by Bridgestone (Our GOLD PARTNER)
Bridgestone Corporation (a Gold Partner of the event), is conducting a school visit and educational program in elementary schools in Fukuoka Prefecture in conjunction with the event. In March, Shunsuke Imamura, a member of Bridgestone Cycle and a native of Ukiha City, Fukuoka Prefecture, visited his alma mater, Ukiha City Senen Elementary School, to convey the importance of always having dreams to 47 third-grade students.
Furthermore, from September 19 to 22, Masaru Iijima, Chief of the Market Development Section at Bridgestone Cycle and a former member of the Japanese national cycling team who participated in the Sydney, Athens, and Beijing Olympics, plans to visit elementary schools in Fukuoka Prefecture. He will conduct outreach lessons using the “Traffic Safety Drill for Bicycles,” which makes learning about bicycle-related traffic safety enjoyable.
Additionally, from September 11 to 15, Kaori Sugiura, a Paralympic gold medalist in cycling at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics and a support athlete for Bridgestone Cycle equipment, will visit schools. She will share her experiences of winning a gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics and emphasize the importance of setting goals, making efforts towards them, and having the courage to continue challenging oneself, with a theme focused on “the courage to challenge.”
