Presentation by paralympic gold medalist Yoshiko Sugiura!

Bridgestone Cycle Co., Ltd. will host a talk by Yoshiko Sugiura, who won consecutive gold medals at the 2020 Tokyo and 2024 Paris Paralympics, at junior high and high schools in Fukuoka Prefecture.

In 2016, Sugiura suffered a fall during a cycling race, which resulted in a traumatic brain injury. Despite the challenges, she never gave up on pursuing her dreams and has continued to challenge herself in the sport. In her lecture, she will share her personal experiences, emphasizing to students the importance of facing challenges.

Bridgestone Co., Ltd., a gold sponsor of the MyNavi Tour de Kyushu 2024, supports the event’s theme of “Make Kyushu Sustainable.” With the aim of promoting the event’s excitement and contributing to the learning and growth of children who will lead the future, the lectures will be held on September 25th and 26th in Okagaki Town and Munakata City, this year’s host locations for the event.
